1. ADVERTISING
Lately, people watch tv a lot and this is the most important media, advertising products is one of its biggest sources of earnings.
First of all, a lot of money is spent by enterprises to make very beautiful advertisements to sell their products. However, almost all these advertisements deceive the consumer, we watch beautiful women, for example, to advertise a car, or how a detergent, not only washes a shirt, when you look at it to see if it is clean, this shirt looks new. On the other hand, the majority of these advertisements are stupid ones, for example, in the “cola cao” advertisement, some time ago, a doctor said that this product helped him to do his job better.
Another point is, advertisements are shown on tv at any time of the day and if you want to watch a film you have to watch at least thirty minutes of advertising too.
In my opinion, advertising must be checked by the government, they must forbid the deceitful advertisements and reduce the time of them, because I think people are fed up with watching so many advertisements and reduce the image of them on tv instead of the film or the programme they really want to watch.
2) IMMIGRATION
Lately immigration has become an important problem for developed countries and especially for Spain because our country is near the north coast of Africa and people who live in countries as Morocco, Algeria think we live in a paradise and consequently they look for some kind of strategies to come here. Unfortunately, many of them die in their attempts.
First of all, the number of immigrants who are coming illegally to Europe has increased recently in the last few years and the EEC has hardened the laws against this. In addition, a lot of racial groups such as “skinned heads” have been created and these violent groups have caused a lot of problems, especially in Germany. These are some of the European reactions for these problems, but what would you do if you lived in one of these poor countries? Would you try to go to a richer country to get a better life? These

These immigrants are people like you or me, people who live in bad conditions and people who want to live a decent life as I would want if I were in their situation.
To sum up, I think developed countries might allow immigration but it might be controlled to avoid problems.
3. OLD PEOPLE
People are not young forever and in everybody’s life there comes a time in which a person gets old and she/he can’t do the things he/she used to.
First of all, when a person is old, he can’t work, run, cook or do other things which he could do easily when he was younger and for this reason there are some old people who think they are useless and feel bad.
On the other hand, these people need help to manage their daily lives; this help comes from their relatives or friends. They often move to their relatives’ houses but sometimes they are not welcome and their own song and daughters treat them badly. However, there are other old people who give up their houses to live in a social institution, because they want to lead their life there or because their children do not want their parents to live in their houses and send them there. Most of them feel abandoned by their family in that place.
To sum up, I think old people must be treated better, because they often feel alone and they need sympathy and affection to overcome their problems. I also think old people must live where they want, in the house of their children or in a social institution, where they feel really well.
4) Should men and women have the same jobs?
Recently, people have begun to discuss the issue of whether women should do exactly the same jobs as men. Nowadays, women are perfectly qualified to do the same jobs as men. Women are qualified to realise all the jobs.
To begin with, everything is changing little by little. The traditional point of view was that women had to do all the tasks of the house. For example, they had to prepare the meal for their husbands; however, men normally lied down on the sofa waiting for their women to prepare the meal and set the table, after returning home.
Nowadays, women are realizing other jobs and men share the housework with their wives. Women are more independent and they are able to do the same jobs as men.
In conclusion, as it is a well-known fact, women are becoming more and more independent. They are hard-working, and above all they can do whatever they want to, they are perfectly trained to work in the world we live in. Moreover, men, nowadays, share with women the housework. This is no longer women’s responsibility but, just the opposite, both work outside and consequently they have to share the housework.
